Honduran Milksnake
Lampropeltis triangulum hondurensis


Two wild type phases of the Honduran Milksnake are known the Tri-Coloured Phase and the Tangerine Phases. They occur within the rainforests of Honduras, Nicaragua and portions of North East Costa Rica. A medium sized snake, that is very popular amongst Milksnake enthusiasts.

Tri coloured [ TOP OF PAGE ]

Tangerine [ TOP OF PAGE ]
The black bands on the Tangerine Honduran are either really narrow or nonexistent and the yellow and red bands seen in the Tri Coloured Honduran are closer to orange in color.

Albino [ TOP OF PAGE ]
Also known as Amelanistic, are shades of Red, white and yellow.

Tangerine Albino [ TOP OF PAGE ]
Probably the most attractive Honduran colour morph they are almost flouresent in appearance having bands of bright orange and white

Hybino [ TOP OF PAGE ]
The hybino morph is a cross between an Albino & Hypomelanistic Honduran. The black bands are shades of Purple\Grey\Blueish and the orange is a lovely clean colour.

Hypomelanistic [ TOP OF PAGE ]
The hypomelanistic gene reduces the amount of black pigment, these snakes have a really bright appearance with a purple tinge on the "black" areas

Anerthristic [ TOP OF PAGE ]
Shades of Black white and grey are left after the Anerythristic gene has done it's work in ridding the snake of all red pigment. Some specimens show some shades of lilac.
